The problem

A design system that lives in Figma only serves the people who open Figma. Marketing needed licences to produce its visuals, such as podcast covers or live announcements, and the documentation sat in files few people ever opened. The brand depended on a handful of people.

The method

01 Start from Figma, reinvent nothing

The Yeitibook mirrors the Figma file's structure exactly: three families (guidelines, components, sections), then pages, then components, each with its variants and its code. Figma and GitHub become the source of truth, and everything is published on GitHub Pages, one link away for anyone.

02 Write the rules for newcomers

The home page is built for people who just arrived: how to import the libraries into Figma, where to download the typefaces and the 1,513 icons, and eight design rules. Where to create a component, how to name it, check first whether it exists, document it, publish it with a release note.

03 Y.Cover: producing without Figma

A browser tool. Pick a format (podcast cover at 800 × 800, or LinkedIn live visual at 1200 × 630), fill in the guest and the title, drop a photo. Layout and typefaces come from the design system, the title size adapts on its own, background removal is automatic, and the export comes out as a high-definition PNG. Text stays saved in the browser, and the photo never leaves the computer.

The outcome

Marketing produces its visuals on its own, on brand, and some Figma licences could be cancelled. The design system can be consulted by the whole team, online, with no account or software.

What's next

Bring the Yeitibook closer to the live site: compare its components with Webflow's, so that Figma, the code and the site finally talk about the same component. The same design system already serves as a rule base for the Brand Assistant.
